I forecasted this one, however tentatively, back in December! Germanwings will fly from Berlin and Cologne/Bonn to Kyiv beginning in October. Thanks to Air Scoop for the buzz.

Well it is December now and still no information on Germanwings Berlin - Kiev flights.
I can find loads of entries from the summer saying the this route will be operational late summer / autumn.
Anyone know what is going on??

I don't know anything about this. I just checked the Germanwings site and didn't find any clarification there, either -- no press release explaining the delay or anything else of the sort.

Not good ....as I live in Kiev and have lots of friends in Berlin.
At the moment UIA is the only airline flying direct from Berlin to Kiev so they can charge what they want. In fact the 2 hour flight to Berlin is often 2 or 3 times more expensive than the 3 1/2 hour flight to London.
I was looking forward to some bargain basement competition but the Ukrainian government is a shareholder in UIA so it would make sense for them to allow no competition between Germany and Ukraine.
Oh well .... one can live in hope.
